The client had a very limited budget, but desired a clean, modern aesthetic that personifies a sophisticated and established law firm. Being a heavy private office space, the layout situated private offices and work rooms along the perimeter windows with the public spaces at the core.
The final design utilized the carpet as the space’s main design feature due to budget limitations. Keeping the higher cost pattern in ‘client facing’ areas of circulation and a complimenting neutral budget carpet tile in the rest of the space. Because the client is a heavy private office user, the elegant carpet added excitement and a light, airy feeling in the long narrow corridors and large boardroom. The reception area incorporates an inset area carpet tile, providing a refined first impression of the office.
