The client is an innovative American company with one mission: To make high-quality baby products that fit the needs of new parents. The company recently moved into their new 46,000sf corporate headquarters in Rockland, MA. The client’s new workplace is an embodiment of their playful and creative nature, complementing their mission of making the smartest strollers, car seats, and juvenile gear available. Their new home is a dynamic and creative workplace, designed with both the happiness of the client and employee in mind.
The flooring design was driven by the client’s insatiable desire to create a fun and dynamic workplace. Each department within the company (Customer Service, Marketing, Finance and Research and Development) lives within a “Neighborhood” that is uniquely their own. The designs within the individual spaces are grounded by a flood of color brought to life by the Color Shift, Contact, and Plane Hexagon tiles. The color and pattern organically flow throughout the space, and the most saturated pools of color anchor the main activity and work spaces within each department. The neighborhoods come alive in their own unique way via the bold use of color and shape. The vibrancy found on the flooring makes their way through the rest of the neighborhood by framing them as unique spaces. It is an adventure to move throughout the building and see how each Neighborhood breathes a life of its own. The slight variation in flooring layout strikes home the individuality of each department as it pertains to the work they do.
