The client’s finishes make an impactful statement about the company and its future as bold leader in the start-up world, while also respecting and complementing the exposed brick and open ceilings of the turn-of-the-century loft space. Users feel grounded by the solid history of the historic space located on a downtown brick-paved street… yet inspired by the innovative materials and daring patterns used throughout the project.
The client emphatically embraced the idea of vastly varied work space types, which was very different from their existing space. Employees and clients alike now have the freedom to choose open or closed meeting spaces (whether huddle rooms or conference rooms)…or more interactive spaces from Work Lounge to Game Lounge to Open Collaborative gathering areas. This is a company that brings dogs and bikes to work, and relaxes—or meets—during a game of pool or shuffleboard in their own on-site Game Lounge. The client was delighted from the day of move-in at how suddenly employees were using so many different types of spaces, and felt that having these choices made employees feel more connected to the work-life balance they were seeking.
