This was the first move after 20 years of significant growth for the client, coming from a darker, older building with departments spread over several floors. The challenge was to understand the needs and processes that would translate to a single floor plate allowing for greater efficiency and a chance to rethink the traditional office. The goal was to create an environment that fostered collaboration for certain departments while maintaining a controlled environment for more focus based groups. This drastic change in the work environment needed to be inviting to visiting agents with centralised shared amenities while still allowing for employee engagement.

Natural daylight and outside views are apparent throughout the open floor plate with the majority of closed offices planned on the interior. The corridors that naturally occur outside of the interior offices were further accented with colourful carpet inserts branded in the client’s red and blue. The contrasting field carpets further delineate the open workstations from the interior offices creating a strong graphic statement. Hard floor surfaces used within shared Copy Areas were also branded in red and blue and mirrored above with matching ceiling details extending into the open office for wayfinding. Overall, the new offices are a bright and positive work environment that portrays a professional brand image allowing for staff to feel invested thus increasing productivity and overall well being.
