The client approached us to renovate a vacated 1990s property, to become their new US headquarters. This would be repurposed to house executive offices and meeting space, as well as modern amenities that appeal to younger workers. The design was to include a new cafeteria and lounge complete with vending machines, fitness area, ping pong table and several casual areas to work. Using their headquarters in Kurla, India as inspiration, we needed to merge modern office design with natural materials to create an innovation and professional working environment.
Employees enjoy the added space to “break-away” from their desk. They can have informal meetings in their employee lounge or a banquette in the cafeteria. They also like the addition of color, specifically the pops of red and orange plane hexagon tile, to represent their brand and help with wayfinding.
