With over 850 locations, the client is the largest foodservice distribution cooperative in the United States. They provide nationwide access to exclusive purchasing opportunities with the country’s premier suppliers. Their headquarters needed to provide not only a creative space for staff, but also a testing kitchen for prospective and current distributors to see and taste what new offerings they can provide. The design firm worked with key project leaders to understand what their unique space required and provided a conceptual design that accommodated the program requirements and captured the energy and vibrancy of the company and their industry.
The Shaw products provided multiple benefits for the unique spaces required for the successful delivery of the space. Branding was a key project driver and the products specified served as an anchor to allow for our team to incorporate bold graphics and corporate recognition. In addition, the daily use of the office space is highly interactive with staff, visitors, and prospective clients touring and using the space throughout the day in a variety of ways. The durability of the products was very important and so was the price point. The project had a conservative budget and the Shaw products allowed our team to provide a quality product with a beautiful aesthetic and functional quality uncommon at other price points.
