The client relocated their Houston headquarters becoming the anchor and named tenant of a newly constructed building occupying 100,000 sq. ft. of interior office space. Taking advantage of the opportunity to refocus their image, the client worked closely with the design team to create a space that reflects their commitment to excellence in their industry, and the value they see in their own employees as well as their clients. Desiring a high-end hospitality look and feel, not just in the reception and public areas, but throughout the office, posed the biggest challenge – staying on budget.
With a dramatic and luxurious reception area; a well-appointed conference center; and an employee break-room serving as lunch room, game room, social hub and entertainment zone – the resulting space has the drama and luxury of a high-end hotel. Employee engagement is accommodated not just in the amenity areas but with open, light and inviting work areas that are inviting and functional. The space represents the company’s brand, and reinforces their stature at the top of their industry. All on budget. The design team worked with Shaw to create rich custom carpet in the elevator lobbies of each floor as well as coordinating custom carpet in the conference center. The Shaw carpet helps enhance the high-end hospitality look and feel the client desired and is a focal point in these areas.
